Travelers may be at risk for a number of vaccine-preventable diseases. During your pre-travel consultation, your immunization history will be reviewed to determine if you require any vaccinations. It is important to make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines before every trip. These vaccines may include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and your yearly flu shot. The need for certain vaccinations will also depend on your travel itinerary and what types of activities you plan to undertake.
